At This Point… I Don’t Care Who the Gynecologist Is

Hey… it’s Anna.

Let me catch you up.

So… I got the appointment

By some miracle, I got in to see a gynecologist on Monday.

And listen…

I know a lot of women prefer female gynecologists.

I get it.

I used to be one of those people.

But right now?

I don’t care.

At this point, whoever can stop this bleeding is my favorite person.

Because this has been going on long enough

I’ve been bleeding since April 21.

My period was due on April 21 so yeah right on time…but no end is in sight as…..

Today is May 1.

And I am STILL bleeding.

Do you know how exhausting that is?

Physically… mentally… emotionally…

I’m over it.

Completely over it.

Decision made (for now)

I don’t think I’m replacing the IUD.

I need other options.

Because what I do know is this:

  • I don’t want a period anymore

That’s it. That’s the goal.

Next step

Uterine wall biopsy.

Yep.

We’re going there.

Not exactly excited about it…

But also? I need answers.

So we’ll see what comes out of that.

And I’ll definitely keep you posted.

Now let’s talk about today at work

Today wasn’t bad.

Shocking, I know.

The place wasn’t that dirty.

The garbage wasn’t crazy.

And I didn’t work alone.

Which makes a HUGE difference.

And between me and you…

On weekends?

I clean once.

That’s it.

Because who is trying to clean all day on a weekend?

Not me.

We’re not doing that.

Let’s keep that between us though.

My body still had opinions

It’s one of those overcast, cold days.

So of course:

  • my back is a little sore
  • my knees are aching
  • my hands are numb

Because my joints love to remind me they exist.

Especially when the weather changes.

The rest of my day? Already planned

I’m doing exactly two things:

  • Binge watching Outlander
  • Resting my eyes with Crime Junkie (my favorite true crime podcast)

Balance.

Because sometimes your version of self-care is:

“don’t move and don’t think too hard”

Real talk before I go

I hope you all are having the most incredible weekend.

Like… genuinely.

Enjoy it.

Rest. Relax. Do nothing if you can.

And me?

I just wish I got weekends off.

That’s it.

That’s the post.

Alright… back to my show.

Catch you next time.
